Ballinahown Community Development have strategically redesigned and reorganised the local carpark in the past 12 months which has given rise to a central market area, with a millenium fountain at the center and augmented by newer artistic sculptures.The use of a ‘bull sculpture’ echoes the history of the early settlement being on a significant trading route through which herds of cattle would have been brought on a regular basis.
This market area serves locals and passers-by alike, sharing itself with the wider rural community and has become a significant and vibrant social centre hosting many events. Please see our Events page for more details.
