This is a beautiful riverside trail which runs alongside the River Worm. It is a safe and secure route which is accessed through the Children’s Playgorund. This trail is suitable for wheelchairs and buggies and users will delight in the surrounds of mature woodlands which contain many varieties of hardwoods and softwoods and is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna.

The terrain is primarily gravel and can get muddy in winter. It is just under half a kilometer in lenght and is perfect for observing the wide variety of butterflies, hedgerow habitats, birds, trees and wildflowers that permeate our scenic village. There are helpful information signs dotted along the trail with easy to read and interesting information on these important contributors to Ballinahown’s Biodiversity. In addition to all of this, the trail is an oasis of peace and quiet, perfect to connect with nature and experience tranquility while linking in with your local community.
