The James O’Brien Memorial Tractor Run & Family Fun Day in association with Doon/Rashina Vintage Tractor Run and Ballinahown Development Committee took place in Ballinahown. This event was held in memory of James O’Brien (32) who died recently. James, who was the father of two young children, was very popular in the area and the local community were keen to ensure he is remembered. A seat in James’ memory, was erected in the Butterfly Garden in Ballinahown, and was unveiled as part of the schedule of events on the day.
The tractor run started in Doon, and went through Ballinahown, Moate and Castledaly, before returning to Ballinahown.
