Hall Booking Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking Ballinahown Community Hall . By proceeding with your booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Booking and Payment

1.1. Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of full payment.

1.3. The booking fee covers the rental of the hall for the agreed-upon time and date.

1.4. Any additional services or equipment requested will incur extra charges.

2. Cancellation and Refunds

2.1. Cancellations must be made in writing [Number] days prior to the booking date for a full refund. A cancellation fee of [Percentage or Fixed Amount] will be applied for cancellations made within [Number] days.

2.2. No refunds will be given for cancellations made within [Number] hours of the booking.

2.3. The hall management reserves the right to cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case a full refund will be provided.

3. Use of the Hall

3.1. The hall must be used for the purpose stated on the booking form.

3.2. The hall must be left in a clean and tidy condition, with all rubbish removed.

3.3. No decorations or alterations to the hall are permitted without prior written consent.

3.4. The hirer is responsible for any damage caused to the hall or its contents during the booking period.

3.5. Noise levels must be kept to a reasonable level, especially after [Time].

3.6. Compliance with all fire safety regulations is mandatory.

3.7. The hirer is responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses or permits for their event (e.g., for alcohol or music).

3.8. The Hall is a non-smoking venue.

4. Liability

4.1. The hall management shall not be liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises.

4.2. The hirer is responsible for ensuring adequate public liability insurance for their event.

4.3. The hirer indemnifies the hall management against any claims arising from their use of the hall.

5. General

5.1. The hall management reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

5.2. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Country/Region].

5.3. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Your Country/Region].

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USING BALLINAHOWN COMMUNITY HALL

  1. Booking the Hall
  • All bookings must be made in advance via our website: www.ballinahownvillage.com. The online calendar will show current availability.
  • Community Groups: The rental fee is €15 per hour (or part thereof) and must be paid at the time of booking. A payment link will be sent once your booking is confirmed. Please remember to book any setup or preparation time you may need.
  • Commercial/Non-Community Groups: Please email your booking request to ballinahownhall@gmail.com.
  • You must have insurance for your event. Ballinahown Development Association must be indemnified—please provide proof of indemnity.
  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more before your event will receive a 50% refund.
  1. Using the Hall
  • The hall may be rented for events such as training courses, classes, meetings, etc.
  • The maximum capacity is 100 people. This limit must not be exceeded.
  • The following are strictly not allowed: illegal activities, smoking, or any actions that may damage the hall or its equipment.
  • Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a “Community Hall – Entry & Usage Guidelines” document.
  1. Using the Kitchen
  • You may use the Burco for tea/coffee.
  • Use of other kitchen equipment is not permitted unless specifically approved in advance via email.
  1. Responsibility for Damages
  • Damage to Property: You are responsible for any damage caused to the hall, including fixtures, fittings, or equipment. Repair or replacement costs will be charged to you.
  • Insurance: It is recommended you obtain event insurance to cover any potential liabilities.
  • Indemnity: Ballinahown Community Development will not be held liable for injuries, accidents, or property loss during your event. Please send a copy of your indemnity to our email address before your booking.
  1. Cleaning Up
  • Please follow the provided Usage Guidelines.
  • A €30 cleaning fee will be charged if the hall is left in an undesirable state.
  1. Decorating the Hall
  • Decorations must be approved in advance. Do not use nails, tape, or anything that could damage the walls or ceiling.
  • You are responsible for setting up and removing your decorations and equipment.
  1. General Rules
  • Keep noise levels reasonable to avoid disturbing our neighbors.
  • Comply with any public health guidelines in effect at the time of your event.
